Our organic green olive oil comes from 100% variety LIANOLIA PREVEZAS (KERKYRAS). This variety exhibits higher levels of total phenols (oleocanthal, oleacein, etc.) from other varieties in Greece. The olive oil is characteristic for its bitterness and its intense pepper flavor, due to the phenols it contains.

According to European directive 432/2012 our green olive oil belongs to the category of olive oil that protects against the oxidation of blood lipids.
Oleocanthal and oleacein are biologically important substances whose activity is associated with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective and neuroprotective properties.
20 g of our green olive oil contains 15.5 mg total phenols - 3 times more than the EU directive. (5 mg phenols / 20 g oil) and can therefore be labeled as HEALTH CLAIM.
How to use our green olive oil?
The ideal way to use of Extra Virgin Organic Green Olive Oil «ἔλαιον» (elaeon) is in "cold dishes" e.g. salad dressings, sauces, marinades or simply drizzled over freshly grilled fish, salads and roasted vegetables. Alternatively, it can be used in cooked dishes.
